Family Photos, Mom’s Birthday Celebration

Just wanted to share a few family pics of Rick’s Mom’s 90th birthday celebration.
These were taken by photographer Tim Warner, of Katy, Texas. He did a great job!!

Here is the whole gang, Mom in the middle, her children, most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We were missing a our daughter, her children and their children, we had 32 family members here for the celebration.

Mom and the youngest great grandson who was there, baby Colton. She has one great great granddaughter, Saddie, 19 months and great great grandson, Easton, 2 months, who could not be there.

Our Trip to Texas

Next Update on the New Art Studio

Sorry I have not posted in a while. It got crazy, busy around here over the Holidays and we were out of town a lot, as you saw by some of my posts.
Here is the latest update on the New Art Studio progress.

Doing lots of tedious stuff the past few weeks, such as removing blue painters tape around the windows and a/c units.

More tedious stuff, such as caulking all the cracks in the ceiling before the final coat of paint.

(Sorry about the glare from the lights.)

Every time I come out from the house I bring some of my stained glass with me to put in the cabinet. Here is a couple of my beautiful pieces. These are original Wasser Glass I acquired from Chad Wasser himself, from his private stash, which is no longer made. You can still get Wasser Glass, but they just don’t make the colors like this anymore!!

Scored some beautiful porcelain tile at Habitat Restore for my counter top on the south side of the art studio for $25.00. Yes!! Score of the day!!

Hubby, Rick, got the title installed, now I have to grout it.

I just love how all my Sterilite drawers fit under the counter top neatly. I planned it like this. Makes it so easy to access my tools and supplies. Love it!!

Manatee Co Fair Winners 2017

Wow, my entries at the Manatee Co Fair won awards!!

My Free-Form Crochet Shawl (without a pattern).

They did not display it very well, but you can see the Red Rosette Second Place Ribbon on the Shawl at the Fair.

My handmade (lampwork) bead necklace hung on my handmade sterling silver neck wire won First Place.

Excited and happy!!

Christmas Vacation, Part 2

I need to show you the rest of our Christmas Vacation pics with our Son and Daughter-in-Love. On Mon, the 26th we ventured out from Cedar Key to Manatee Spring, Florida. What a beautiful place.
Scuba divers were in the springs, the water was crystal clear!

Trees all around the water, and the water was like glass.

Here is where the spring flows into the Swanee River. We have decided we have to go back with our kayaks.Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a hope 2017 is a fantastic year for all.
